Utah Olympic Park Water Jumps

Park City, Utah

The architectural design for the aerial ski jumps at Utah’s Olympic Park in Park City consisted of re-grading a steep slope, removing all four existing warped wood aerial jumps, and replacing them with seven steel ski jumps. The design also included safer concrete staircases that replaced existing wood stairs, expanded the existing pool, and retreaded the hillside. Due to the difficulties that arose from both winter conditions and the steep and rocky terrain, the project required non-traditional building methods. Our design increased the capacity of the site as well as the safety of the athletes.
